Royal de Boer now offering the Ritchie CattleMaster

What’s new

Royal de Boer is expanding beyond the WaterMaster range to now include the full CattleMaster line (480, 840, 10T, and 1440). This addition gives dealers more flexibility to recommend the right solution depending on farm layout, herd size, and climate.

CattleMaster — key selling points (USPs)

  • Thermostatically controlled heat: Under-trough elements keep water ice-free; heat cables protect valves and supply lines.
  • High throughput: Large trough capacities with fast refill valves designed for peak demand.
  • Durability: UV-stabilised insulated poly body with 304 stainless trough.
  • Range of sizes: Four models (480, 840, 10T, 1440) to suit everything from medium herds to very large group housing.

Why heaters are standard on CattleMaster

Unlike WaterMaster, which offers heating as an option, every CattleMaster unit includes thermostatic heaters by default. The reasons are:

  • Cold-climate design: Built for regions with sustained freezing.
  • Large water volumes: Bigger trough capacities mean slower turnover, increasing freeze risk.
  • Reliability out-of-the-box: No add-ons required — ready for winter from day one.
  • Premium positioning: CattleMaster targets high-capacity, heavy-duty herds where guaranteed freeze protection is vital.
